Notary Services

In today's increasingly global climate, notary services are used and requested by students, senior citizens, parents, married couples and just about everyone — not to mention businesses and corporations. Mariel Epelman Law Office provides certified notary services in Hebrew, English and Spanish to private and business clients all over the world.

Notarial translations

Ensuring the authenticity of translated documents passed on to institutions that request them: public documents (birth and death certificates, marriage and divorce certificates, criminal records, certificates of good conduct, judicial decisions), private documents, agreements, contracts, wills, diplomas and certificates of education, translations required for repatriation, citizenship and visas. Translations for obtaining residency and citizenship in Israel and for Israelis in various countries.

02

Signature approvals

Signature approvals for domestic purposes (Power of Attorney) and for presenting documents abroad. The signature is approved in presence of a notary in our Israel office; documents can be signed by a singular person or on behalf of an entity. In most cases, documents sent abroad also require an apostille seal issued by the Ministry of Justice.

03

Notarial powers of attorney (POA)

Powers of Attorney for representatives in Israel and abroad: ordinary, irrevocable, land and general notarized PoAs. We also assist in drafting the POA to be signed. If the POA is designated for use outside of Israel, it must include an apostille seal issued by the Ministry of Justice.

04

Apostille in Israel

Apostille services for public documents in Israel (via the Ministry of Foreign Affairs), as well as apostille for notarial signature approvals and notarial translations. Useful, for example, as proof of life for senior citizens seeking benefits from abroad.

05

Notarial wills in Israel

Notarial wills are recognized by law in the State of Israel. As notaries, we confirm the identity and legal capacity of the testator, and add our signature to the will. Upon request, we also assist in drafting the will to be signed.

06

Notarial certification of true copy

A true copy is a copy certified to be exactly true to the original document. True copies are requested by public and private institutions both in Israel and abroad — usually with notarial certification. When submitted outside of Israel, they should usually be apostilled.

07

Notarial life certificates

Life certificates serve as proof that their holder is currently living. Usually requested when Israeli residents must regularly display proof of life as a basis for pension and compensation payments or other benefits from abroad.

08

Prenuptial agreements

Prenuptial agreements are not enforceable unless legally certified. Many couples choose to sign them in the presence of a certified notary — a service we offer along with a myriad of complementary services.

Additional notarial services

We handle the full process: drafting or reviewing the document, notarial certification and, where required, the Apostille. Clear timelines and fees set by the official schedule, confirmed before we start.

Notarized translation of a death certificate

Estate paperwork handled with discretion. We prepare the certified translation required by foreign registries, insurers and probate courts.

Translated documents for opening bank accounts outside Israel

We translate and certify the identity, address and income records foreign banks request during their compliance and KYC review.

Notarized translation of a marriage certificate

A certified version of your certificate, prepared to the standards of consulates and immigration offices for residency, citizenship or civil registry files.

Immigration and consular files

Translation and certification of the full set of documents behind a visa or residency application, organised to each consulate's requirements.

Power of attorney for banking matters

We draft the instrument with the precise powers your bank requires, avoiding rejections caused by generic wording or an unclear scope.

Irrevocable power of attorney

An instrument designed to secure an obligation already undertaken, drafted with precision as to its subject matter, duration and conditions.

Power of attorney for property transactions abroad

A power of attorney adapted to the law of the destination country, Apostille included, to buy, sell or manage real estate without travelling.

Minor travel consent

We draft and notarise the consent of one or both parents for minors travelling abroad, whether accompanied or unaccompanied. The document is prepared to meet airline, consulate or destination-country requirements, and includes an Apostille where needed.
